Session ace Lee Ritenour once more employs the cream of L.A.'s studio crop to come up with a drab, utterly unimaginative slab of nondescript pop. With guest vocalists like Eric Tagg and Bill Champlin (who also contribute as composers), Ritenour and his cohorts -- among them Jeff Porcaro, Harvey Mason, David Foster, Alex Acuña, and Richard Tee-- craft a pristine sonic foray into early-'80s. Arguably, ’s „Wes Bound“ is still Ritenour’s best studio album — certainly from a jazz perspective. But this album is also respectable, and those who enjoyed hearing the guitarist stretching out on that mostly straightahead disc will also find a lot to enjoy about „Rit’s House“.

  5. Great album from the eponymous Lee 'Rit' Ritenour. I have the album n vinyl from the late eighties, & wished to aquire the digital version on cd. Standout cut for me is 'Turn the heat up'. Lee is assisted by some of the best musicians around at the time, Nathan East, Paulinho Da Costa, Larry Williams, & Greg Phillinganes. Its all good/5(32).
